Uber Recruit have an immediate requirement for a Receptionist/Administrator to be based at our clients Head Office in Newbridge, Edinburgh.


This is a minimum 6 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave and working hours are 7.30am – 3.30pm Monday – Friday. You will also be required to provide holiday cover for the mid-day receptionist.


Reporting to the Property & Facilities Manager, you will be based on the modern front of house area, where you will be responsible for operating the switchboard and welcoming visitors, providing a friendly and helpful first impression. Duties will include:


  • Professionally answer and transfer incoming calls to reception, including screening phone calls.
  • Welcome clients and visitors and carry out other reception duties including incoming and outgoing mail and dealing with couriers.
  • Provide admin support to the team as required; Data entry, mail merges, spreadsheet/ tracker management.
  • Stock control and replenishment of Stationary and office supplies
  • Schedule meetings including booking meeting rooms and ordering refreshments from the canteen facility. Overall responsibility for the visitor/staff experience – ensuring all meeting rooms are set up as requested.
  • Coordinating with the other members of the Facilities Team.



Skills/experience required:


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in switchboard/reception and administration duties
  • Organisational and problem solving skills
  • A friendly and helpful manner
  • Excellent computer and information management skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Attention to detail
