Your new role
Handle daily administrative tasks such as managing emails, phone calls, and other forms of communication.Keep precise records of financial transactions, donations, and expenses.Organise schedules and logistics for various meetings, events, and outreach programs.Assist in the creation of reports, presentations, and other necessary documents.Supervise administrative IT systems and provide team support.Ensure adherence to organisational policies and procedures.Provide administrative support for the volunteer team and clients, including training, development, and appreciation activities.Manage volunteer recruitment and induction administration, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other legal requirements.Oversee health and safety administration and facility coordination.Prepare and edit presentations and documents for stakeholder meetings and engagements.Handle board administration tasks, including minute taking and report generation.Assist the Chief Executive in developing and implementing various fundraising strategies.Identify potential funding opportunities, grants, and sponsorship possibilities.Prepare grant proposals, fundraising appeals, and donor communications.Manage all aspects of funding administration, including coordinating grant progress reporting.Build relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and community organisations.Organise fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage supporters and raise awareness.Collaborate with the management team to monitor budgets, track expenses, and reconcile accounts.Prepare financial reports and forecasts to aid in decision-making and planning.Ensure accuracy and transparency in financial record-keeping and reporting.Handle organisational banking requirements, such as online payment creation, credit card reconciliation, and bank statement printing.Act as the point of contact for HMRC, including the preparation of Gift Aid claims.Serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to administration and funding.
What you'll need to succeed
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 5 years of experience in a similiar position.At least 2 years of experience in administration, fundraising, or grant writing within a nonprofit organisation or similar entity.Exceptional organisational abilities with a keen eye for detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and database management software.Capability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.A strong interest in social justice and dedication to the organization's mission.
