Corin is seeking a Supply Chain Apprentice is to be trained to understand the Supply Chain process in Corin, by working alongside the Supply Chain team to gain comprehensive hands-on experience in how a global supply chain function operates, to effectively support and complete your Supply Chain NVQ Level 2 qualification. This would suit a school leaver or someone who is looking for a career change.
Key responsibilities of the Supply Chain Apprentice
- Work across the supply chain team with our Buyers, Planners, Account Managers and Warehouse and Logistics personnel.
- Manage MRP messages for all relevant purchase orders.
- Place and raise Purchase Orders (PO), monitor open orders to ensure on-time delivery, and general admin within Supply Chain.
- Learn to use the Sage system and other associated supply chain systems.
- Support the update of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Device History Record (DHR) Data.
- Help identify any potential material risk and mitigate at all levels of supply chain
- Support the shipping process within Warehouse and Logistics by reconciling supplier shipments and co-ordinating the required paperwork from Suppliers.
- Maintain a regular communication cadence with suppliers, routinely aligning on open PO lines and quantities.
- Ad hoc project involvement EG) Related to packaging optimisation and usage, sourced raw material as well as any warehouse changes related to layout, structure or anything else.
The ideal Supply Chain Apprentice
- Grade C or 4 or above in Maths and English GCSE
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
- A team player and happy to work independently.
- Keen to learn and ask questions.
- Good Excel skills and eye for detail
