Warehouse Operative Apprentice

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our warehouse team as an apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about building a long-term career with progression opportunities within the company.

**What will the apprentice be doing?**
- Loading and unloading, goods in and out.
- Picking, packing and despatching customer orders with care and precision
- Testing of goods in, inline with the company process.
- To take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe and tidy warehouse
- Maintaining correct stock location
- Continued stock checking at all times to ensure correct stock count and location accuracy.
- Ensuring daytime security of site
- Maintaining the tidiness of the immediate area around the site and parking area.
- Adhere to company policy and work in line with the Company Quality Management
- System at all times.
- This role requires an element of heavy lifting, supported by manual handling training

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
- Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills if required.
- You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession
- You will experience a blended learning model including online and face to face
- You will gather learning evidence, via off-the-job training records and work through a portfolio
- This is a work based programme which means that all of your learning will take place on the site of your employment and within your contracted working hours. We support you through regular visits from your training officer to the place or work throughout the apprenticeship.
- You may also be required to attend in person at WEBS Training based in Beeston Nottingham and virtually via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
- At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready for your End Point Assessment.

**Qualifications**
- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) desirable

**Things to consider**

You will need to be able to travel to and from the office each day so please make sure you have looked at the commute time to ensure this is reasonable and practical. This role will require an element of heavy lifting, which will be supported by comprehensive manual handling training for your safety and well-being.
