Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our small Warehouse team. This role involves day-to-day administration of inbound and outbound bookings, accurate picking and packing of customer orders, and maintaining high standards in shipping solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer inbound and outbound bookings using third-party software and a courier network.
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
  • Receive and verify inbound deliveries.
  • Locate and transfer stock between the warehouse and technical operations area.
  • Keep all relevant Warehouse records up-to-date and communicate changes/delays to appropriate departments.
  • Monitor progress of outbound shipments and communicate delays to the appropriate department.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with preferred carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers.
  • Produce accurate commercial paperwork upon request.
  • Drive the company van for occasional same-day deliveries and daily stock collection.
  • Administer consignment route planning to ensure cost-effective methods are utilized.
Requirements:
  • Previous employment in a warehouse environment is desirable.
  • Possession of a valid Electric Pallet Stacker license preferred.
  • Full clean UK driving license, held for a minimum of 3 years to meet insurance requirements.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to assist with other departments as required.
  • Self-sufficiency in managing deliveries.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of picking and packing customer orders.
  • Experience of delivering goods to customers in a customer-facing capacity.

Location and Hours:

Usual working location will be at our office based in Kemble, Gloucestershire. We also have a flexible Hybrid Working policy which enables a mix of office and home working.

Our working hours are Monday-Thursday: 9:00am-5:00pm and Friday: 9:00am-4:00pm.
