Position Overview:


Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Head of Business Development to lead the strategic growth initiatives. This role will be instrumental in driving revenue generation, expanding the market presence, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the events industry, a proven track record in business development, and exceptional leadership skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives on a global scale.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the events industry.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Revenue Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiating contracts and closing deals to achieve revenue targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and creative teams to ensure seamless execution of business strategies and client initiatives.
  • Global Expansion: Explore and drive opportunities for international growth, adapting strategies to fit diverse markets and cultural contexts.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a strong focus on the events or hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving growth and revenue in a global context.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Experience with GCC clients is a major bonus.
