Membership Engagement Manager

Hybrid Working (2 days Central London and 3 days working from Home)

Salary: £47,915 plus a generous benefits package including 26 Days Holiday, Pension Up to 12% employer contribution, Life Assurance x 3 Salary, Season ticket loan, childcare vouchers, retail discounts and gym discounts.

My client, a well-respected and reputable membership body based in central London is currently looking for a Membership Engagement Manager.


The Role of Membership Engagement Manager


To lead and manage the development and implementation of the Institute’s strategic membership engagement plan, in line with the Institute’s membership growth and support strategy.


To develop and manage a programme of member engagement activities (including digital), across all our Nations and Regions, nationally and internationally, in order to meet strategic objectives; deliver exceptional experiences at each touchpoint; attract prospective members; and retain and add value to existing members.


To develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote our membership and the value of membership to potential members, employers and key stakeholders.

The role is a customer contact role with extensive engagement with candidates, existing members, professional assessors, governance committees and other stakeholders.


Essential


Excellent IT skills including advanced CRM knowledge and skills to manage customer experiences

Excellent interpersonal skills – the ability to communicate effectively and to forge strong relationships with all levels of staff and stakeholders, both internal and external

Experience developing and delivering stakeholder engagement plans and activities

Experience of delivering successful membership recruitment and retention campaigns

Experience of working cross-functionally, internally and externally, and to secure resources and support from colleagues in other departments.

Experience of working with external suppliers and agencies

Experience of leading and managing people

Experience of producing and analysing statistical data


Desirable


Experience of budget management

Experience of working with or supporting committees of volunteers

Experience of project management

Knowledge of multi-channel marketing including social media, email, website, and other channels
