KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ROLE PURPOSE
The primary focus of this role is to identify, drive, develop and close email security opportunities in both existing and net new accounts.
This is a proactive role, and incorporate a large element of demand generation, including but not limited to: running sales campaigns, engaging with Marketing around messaging, working with the Alliance Managers on arranging and running sales training, and proactively engaging with customers to generate and close opportunities.
Due to the broad range of solutions offered by Ultima the successful applicant would be expected to be the subject matter expert on all things relating to email security, supporting customers and the sales team as needed with market insight, commercial pricing models and product queries.
The role will be measured against agreed GP targets, incorporating organic growth alongside customer and line-of-business acquisition.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Be the subject matter expert within Ultima on all things relating to email security products, services, and messaging.
- Maintain current messaging and stay in front of email security trends and roadmaps.
- Understand customer needs and ensure suitable solutions are positioned and sold.
- Work closely with Ultima’s technical resource to ensure all aspects of customer engagements are fulfilled successfully.
- Be Ultima’s email security evangelist, both internally within Ultima and externally to customers.
- Network within the aligned email security partners, building rapport with members of their team at all levels to drive opportunity pass-through as well as influence and support deals.
- Proactively work with the Ultima sales / marketing team and end customers to generate email security pipeline.
- Maintain a current and up-to-date sales pipeline, providing regular management updates where needed.
- Support enablement of the Ultima Sales team where necessary to ensure they are aware of the latest messaging from Ultima email security partners.
- Assist in gaining sales focused vendor accreditations.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous overlay IT sales experience.
- Proven experience and able to demonstrate a proactive approach to working on sales opportunities across existing and new customers.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and multi-task on important and urgent requirements.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience selling email security products ideally Mimecast/Proofpoint
- Existing knowledge of the email security market and where this sits in the wider security landscape.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft O365 / M365 offering including an understanding as to the security limitations.
