The CCD Exec role is critical for the Customer Development function, focused on representing the voice of CD across the organisation, providing key integration touchpoints around commercial planning and governance, as well as supporting the category & channel strategy with its associated pricing and promotional policies for all customers in the UK&I. You’ll have full ownership of the 4P strategy for your brands and support in the delivery across the wider Elida portfolio. With the CCD team rapidly growing, this role offers a great opportunity to make an impact and develop within the business. The role reports to the CCD Manager for UK&I.


Your Responsibilities :

Strategy & Vision

  • Work with the CCD manager to deliver the category & channel strategy & deploy this through the sales team, including ownership of the 4P strategy for your brands
  • Monitor activity against promotional and pricing strategies to ensure that these parameters are being adhered to
  • Proactively monitors changes in the market and with competitors to align the ongoing strategy with new demands from customers
  • Ensures strong customer input early into the innovation funnel, working closely with the Innovation team to ensure design for channel & customer is brought to life, acting as the voice of the customer in market deployment decisions
  • Supports activity planning following up on the key activities/key customer issues with sales team
  • Support key accounts to ensure customer launch plans are optimal and shapes distribution targets

Operational

  • Monitor the promo strategy & guidelines for each brand & communicate it to CD teams. Flag where changes may need to be reviewed due to market changes.
  • Tracks the promotional plans & market share predictions ensuring the plan is in line with strategy & strong YOY
  • Support the Joint Business Planning process with the sales team
  • Working with finance & Sales controllers to proactively manage the forecast with the sales team including performance reporting & under/over delivery management
  • Analysis of sales data to determine ROI key learnings
  • Analysis of trade spend to monitor investment vs forecast and to proactively look for opportunities to optimise
  • Ensures relevant shopper knowledge is embedded into plans
  • Provides clarity to the CD teams and focuses on the activity plan
  • Supports the remnants and residuals process
  • Support the CD team with reporting and tracking of key metrics

Skills and Experience :

  • At least 2 years of working experience in data insights, reporting, customer or commercial roles
  • Strategy and commercial planning experience
  • Advanced ability with MS excel
  • Strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills for both peers and stakeholders
  • Proven accountability and able to focus and drive critical topics
  • Proven skills in collaboration
  • Demonstrated self-starter
  • Able to synthesize various large data inputs to shape strategy and executable actions
  • Understanding of JBP & Internal Business planning / Innovation funnel process & management
  • A bias for action & passion to find solutions to problems
  • Ability to demonstrate people led & purposeful leadership
  • A passion for the Beauty & Personal Care World


Nice to Have :

  • Familiarity with the UK & I retail marketplace
  • Experience working in category strategy / performance marketing management
  • Experience working in a start up / small business environment
  • Experience in Beauty & Personal Care Industry / working with BPC brands
