Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Work with finance and operations teams to achieve divisional objectives and execute our strategic vision
  • Financial Support: Partner with the Head of Operations and budget holders to provide high-quality financial information for informed decision-making
  • Process Improvement: Support efforts to enhance processes and partner with operational managers and departmental heads to prepare full annual budgets and periodic forecasts, which may involve travel to operational sites
  • Financial Reporting: Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to both internal and external stakeholders. Prepare month-end reporting, including Profit & Loss (P&L), balance sheet, and cash flow statements, adhering to Group timetables
  • Contract Finance Reporting: Provide transparent contract finance reporting that withstands management scrutiny and challenge
  • Risk Management: Own and update the Risks and Opportunities log for our Escorting Services division. Ensure accurate accounting of accrued and deferred income monthly, and communicate clearly with the business regarding non-current debt
  • Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to agree on proposed charges in advance of billing, ensuring accurate and timely client billing


Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (ACA, CA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Technical Skills: Detailed knowledge of finance systems and expert Excel skills. A thorough understanding of the latest accounting standards
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve complex issues
  • Hands-On Approach: The role requires a hands-on approach and detailed knowledge of finance systems
