I am seeking a dynamic and experienced Member Data Strategy Manager. This role is critical in shaping our clients data strategy, improving data quality, and driving business value. If you’re looking for a challenging role where you can make a significant impact, we’d love to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Data Management:

  • Take ownership of the member data reporting and management team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to turn scheme data into actionable insights.
  • Identify and focus on key areas for data cleansing and quality improvement.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team comprising a member data manager, two analysts, and a senior analyst.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Data Quality and Integrity:

  • Evaluate the value of outsourcing data tracing activities and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Proactively drive initiatives to maintain and improve data accuracy and completeness.

Commercial Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to identify and exploit new business opportunities.
  • Support R&D initiatives and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a business representative, engaging with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Present data-driven insights and strategies to senior management and clients.

Process Improvement:

  • Streamline existing processes and implement best practices for data management.
  • Increase self-service capabilities for clients, enhancing user experience and satisfaction.


Required Qualifications:


  • Extensive experience in the pensions industry, particularly with DB schemes.
  • Proven track record of strategic data management and turning data into business value.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Excellent SQL coding skills (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external clients.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach.
  • Strong industry credibility and a solid grounding in pensions knowledge.
  • Adaptable and willing to roll up sleeves to achieve results.
  • Innovative and forward-thinking, with a passion for driving growth and success.
