As a member of the Marketing team within the wider Client Services team, the role of the Senior Digital Marketing Executive is to service Velo’s clients by providing reactive customer service to their requests alongside proactively delivering and aligning Velo’s capabilities and best practice digital marketing with client needs.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:


  • Digital Marketing Expertise: We need you to know your way around the key digital marketing channels and how best to apply them to clients’ campaigns, dependent on their goals. Our core channels are LinkedIn and Google Ads, with others such as Meta, Reddit, Email, and Programmatic featuring on some client accounts.

  • Campaign Management: Ensure no overspend on campaigns, maintain full visibility/governance over client activities, conduct regular check ins and provide optimisation suggestions, and deliver on-time and on-budget.

  • Data and Analytics: Utilise data and Google Analytics to track, optimise, and report on campaign performance. Ensure all activities are aligned with client KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics.

  • Best-in-Class Marketing Campaign Assets: Draft and editing copy for marketing campaign assets, including social ads, search ads, e-mail campaigns, banner ads etc. Briefing creative studio teams (design, dev, video) to deliver best-in-class marketing campaign assets, in line with the client’s objectives.


  • Client Relationship Management: Own accountability for allocated client relationships, conduct regular calls including setting agendas and recording follow-up actions. Provide status updates on projects including next steps to manager/senior team. Assist with writing commercial proposals, and partake in planning sessions and quarterly business reviews to ensure there is a view not just of what is happening now, but what could be done next.


  • Service Excellence: Deliver excellent service levels and ensure the highest standard of communications and work quality. Support wider team members to achieve the same.


  • Marketing Ops Planning Support: Assist managers with client projects related to MarkOps planning. This includes tasks such as total addressable market mapping and audience counts on selected channels, SEO research, competitor analysis.

  • Platform/Vendor Management: Own platform/vendor relationships, troubleshoot problems, and communicate new features and tools to the team.

  • MarTech stack: Have in-depth knowledge of Velo’s stack and be able to talk about it with confidence internally and with clients.


Your crucial skills and experience:


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a marketing agency

  • Paid media expertise across multichannel campaigns, with a passion for making them perform as well as they can

  • LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads experience is required. Other channels such as email, SEO, programmatic, Meta, Reddit, and organic social would be great but not mandatory

  • Must be data-driven with basic Excel skills for analysing and reporting on campaigns

  • Google Analytics 4 proficiency is required. Other analytics platforms (e.g. Adobe) would be great but not mandatory

  • Client relationship and communication skills, including confidence presenting and reporting in client meetings

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Marketing degree or similar is great but not mandatory if expertise demonstrated through experience

Based in London Bridge, SE1, we are a 90-second walk from the station (yes, we've timed it). As an agency of 35+, we're large enough to take on challenging projects but small enough that everyone's voice is heard. The fast-moving nature of the agency means there are both responsibility and progression opportunities for the right people.
