About The Role


Within our B2B business unit we are on a period of growth. As part of this journey, we want to ensure we continue to innovate and disrupt the energy market. We are therefore seeking a motivated Strategy Senior Manager to join our Change and Transformation team. This role is responsible for driving the end-to-end development and delivery of innovative product and service propositions. This role involves identifying market opportunities, conceptualizing new ideas, and leading cross-functional teams to bring these propositions to market.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of consumer needs, strong project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across different functions and levels within the organization.

Responsibilities


Proposition Development:

  • Lead the end-to-end development of new propositions, from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for new product and service offerings.

Strategic Planning:

  • Work closely with senior leadership to the B2B proposition strategy with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends, customer behaviors, and emerging technologies to inform proposition development.

Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new propositions, including pricing, positioning, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling messaging and collateral that effectively communicates the value proposition to target audiences.

Performance Analysis:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of launched propositions.
  • Conduct regular analysis of proposition performance, gather customer feedback, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to proposition management.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability.
  • Line management of a small team of New Proposition Managers.



About You


  • Proven experience in proposition management, product management, or programme management
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex propositions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment with a high level of ambiguity.

Salary: £45,000 Depending upon experience

Ecotricity is Britain's greenest energy company. When we started back in 1995, we were the first company in the world to provide a new kind of electricity- the green kind.

Our mission was, and remains, to change the way energy is made and used in Britain- by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable energy.


We don't just supply green energy, we use the money from our customers' bills to make it ourselves too- we build windmills and sun parks in Britain. We call this 'bills in to mills'. In 2021, we started work on building two new solar parks, and now, in 2023, we're bringing geothermal energy to our customers' fuel mix, a first in the UK. We're also developing green gas mills which will generate 100% green gas from a source that we will never run out of- grass.


We don't just focus on energy though- we built Electric Highways, Britain's leading network of electric vehicle charging points, we helped Forest Green Rovers become the greenest football club in the world, and, in partnership with RSPB, we launched Britain's greenest mobile phone service, Ecotalk.
