Working with a Large IT Consultancy who are on the search of a Senior Consultant who specializes in Data Strategy and Management.


Paying up to £70,000 per Annum with additional Bonus and benefits.


An overview of the role

You will join the Analytics and AI Advisory team, where we collaborate with our clients to improve their use of data and enable them to become truly data-driven enterprises. We’re growing a successful team of experts across the data lifecycle- leveraging these capabilities to solve complex industry problems across the defense sector.

As a Data Strategy & Management - Senior Consultant in the business you’ll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team.


Key expectations from this role include:


· You’ll lead the shaping and delivery of client engagements in areas such as Data Governance, Data Ethics, Data modeling, Data Architecture, Data Quality, standards implementation, and Master Data Management.

· You’ll develop client relationships at the senior management level, partnering with them to identify and solve some of their biggest problems related to the delivery of analytics and AI capabilities, leading data strategic discussions

· You’ll play a key role in developing the Analytics and AI Advisory practice through the development of new market-leading offerings and capabilities, sharing thought leadership, and contributing to business development efforts

· You’ll contribute to the development of our people, supporting the growth of our Analytics and AI Advisory team through sharing knowledge, insights, and training on our offerings and methods

· Work within a growing team of technical strategists providing C-Suite level advisory services.

· Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, and client hosting at events.

· Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demanded within the company, certifications, etc.

You’ll exhibit strong value in some of the following areas:


  • Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and in the industry but having a Consulting background Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organization, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Experience in proposition building and delivery.
  • A strategic thinker with analytical, and problem-solving skills, acting as a data management and governance SME on large data and technology transformation projects.
  • You’ll employ your technical skills and experience, working alongside peers within the team to support business development activities by building knowledge of our service offerings with clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner
  • Extensive experience in defining, designing, and implementing policies, standards, guidelines, tools, metrics, and standards for data management (including areas like data Governance, Data Ethics, Data modeling, Data Architecture, Data Quality, and standards implementation, Master Data Management)
  • Track record of managing and leading teams with consulting professionalism and flexibility – you’ll be able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities, or ambiguity
  • Develop knowledge of existing and innovations in data management practices, sharing learning with the team and through thought leadership and conferences.,
  • All applicants must be willing and eligible to apply and obtain UK security clearance to Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) level, if not holding an existing clearance.

It is desired that you have some understanding or experience in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of data management and governance standards, such as DAMA-DMBOK, CMMI, and DCAM is an asset
  • Industry-recognized designations/certifications, including PMP, TOGAF, ITIL, and Cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS)
  • Architectural / feature knowledge of one or more data and AI platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Platform; Amazon Web Services; Microsoft Azure)
