Job Advert: Temporary Grounds Maintenance OperativeLocation: Ipswich
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team on a temporary basis in Ipswich. This position has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. If you have a passion for maintaining outdoor spaces, a valid driving licence, and previous experience in ground maintenance, we want to hear from youResponsibilities:

  • Conduct routine ground maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, and planting.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of outdoor areas, including litter picking and leaf clearance.
  • Operate and maintain various ground maintenance equipment and machinery.
  • Carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Assist with landscaping projects and the installation of new features.
  • Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in ground maintenance is essential.
  • A valid driving licence is required.
  • Strong knowledge of ground maintenance techniques and equipment.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic repair and maintenance skills.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
