Job Description

Location: Remote (London once a month)

We are working with an exciting IT services organisation. The role is focused on the creation and delivery of all communications initiatives for both the ongoing transformation programme and wider HR agenda. Their scope covers all geographies and user groups within the organisation (employees, managers, HR, other projects), and work with the central team and local HR teams to keep into account regional and national differences in communication styles.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and plan communication activity for the ongoing transformation programme in conjunction with the change team.
  • Discovery audit and assessment of current communication landscape and channels
  • Leverage standard methodology, processes and tools to create and implement a governance structure to manage HR communications
  • Define and create new communications channels within the organisation and manage effectively
  • Create and own stakeholder maps
  • Deliver the communication strategy required
  • Maximise existing comms tools and network within the business and adapt them for different messages and user groups
  • Bring knowledge of the people and culture to articulate the vision, create a compelling reason for change and generate buy-in from critical global and local stakeholders
  • Ensure communication material is in line with the brand and corporate tone
  • Evaluate success of communication activities


Skills & Experience required

  • Experience of building a communications offering from scratch
  • Experience in building communication governance and structure
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced transformation environment with global reach
  • Knowledge of the communication styles, approaches and tools that are effective at global and regional/local level
  • Previous experience of working in a stand alone role showing autonomy to lead and create
  • Proven ability to create a compelling change journey, raise awareness and build stakeholder support
  • Familiar with HR technology and transformation programmes to ensure the right terminology is used is desirable
  • Experienced in writing practical, informative communication that motivate, empowers, gains and maintains momentum
  • Experienced at embedding changes to process, technology, culture, behaviour and ways of working in complex organisations
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Someone who can work to overcome challenge and see a way passed potential obstacles
  • Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level
