Our client are a global scientific analytical equipment company who have grown exponentially since their inception over 40 years ago. They manufacture and supply a range of customers across life sciences, chemical and analytical markets with high-quality speciality systems and equipment. Due to growth of the company, they are now looking to recruit a Technical Sales Specialist to cover the North of England and Scotland territory.

Responsibilities will include delivering sales growth for the company, this will be through prospecting, cold calling, customer visits, providing technical support and troubleshooting of the company's analytical equipment. You will also look to grow and nurture customer relationships, ensuring that client service is maintained to a high standard. Furthermore, you will update company records and sales orders accurately on the company CRM. You will also look to assist customers with installation of new equipment. The position is homebased but travel to customer sites and exhibitions across the North of England and Scotland will be required.

To be considered for the role you will hold a chemistry or related degree, ideally this will be at PhD level but bachelor's and master's degree holders will also be considered, providing you have completed 1+ years working in an analytical laboratory. Experience of ICP, GC, Microwave Synthesis, or other chemistry analytical techniques will be useful. A sales background will be beneficial but is not mandatory. You should be a good communicator, possess strong self-initiative and be highly motivated and organised. You should also be able and happy to travel within the UK for a large portion of your working week, this will include overnight stays.
