Company Description

ATROM MINDCARE is a CQC-registered Holistic Psychiatric Clinic which has been running in Epping, London since April 2024.

The clinic currently offers Psychiatric Assessments and Medical Treatment for a range of Mental Health Conditions and state-of-the-art Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) treatment to patients with Depression and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder using the cutting edge ‘H-coil’.

The clinic is expanding its services to include offering a range of Psychological therapies to its clients.

The clinic is based in a modern Regus office block, within a Grade 2 listed ‘The Civic Building’ on the vibrant Epping High Street. There is a stylish, welcoming waiting area for clients and helpful receptionists. There is access to the kitchen and other facilities for staff.

Role Description and Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Directors of Atrom Mindcare in setting up and running a modern, holistic Community mental health service. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and compassionate Psychologist with an ability to provide exceptional customer service and a passion for helping people recover from mental health problems.

The Applicant should be experienced in delivering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for a range of Psychiatric conditions including Anxiety and Depression; First Episode Psychosis/ Relapse prevention in Bipolar Illness; Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and Trauma Focussed CBT for PTSD. Experience delivering other types of Psychotherapy like Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapy/ Interpersonal Therapy / Psychodynamic Psychotherapy will be desirable. Also, experience in delivering therapy to people with Neurodiversity is desirable.

There is a TMS Technician/ Therapist component to the role and the Psychologist will be expected to operate Brainsway Deep rTMS equipment and safely administer and monitor treatment sessions for patients suffering from Depression and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Training will be provided to deliver this treatment. Prior experience in delivering this therapy is desirable, however, for those delivering the therapy for the first time, they will initially conduct it under the supervision of our Clinical Director and subsequently be expected to deliver the treatment independently. Some clients will benefit from CBT-aided Deep rTMS therapy and the therapist will be expected to engage these clients in psychotherapy during rTMS sessions.

The successful Applicant will be offered an employment contract with Atrom Mindcare and expected to register with prominent Insurance Companies to be able to offer a service. This role can be considered by applicants looking for Full Time/Part-Time/ Job-Share roles. We will be open to considering Flexible Working.

The successful applicant will be expected to document patient progress, to maintain accurate medical records on Cliniko patient document management system. They will communicate effectively in writing or verbally as needed with the client’s Community clinical team (GP/Psychiatrist/other) and with the Consultant Psychiatrist at Atrom Mindcare. They will provide ongoing support to clients whilst delivering treatments and proactively engage with them to ensure clients have a safe and pleasant experience.

They will be expected to attend Clinical Supervision Meetings with the Clinical Director with regards Deep rTMS Therapy and Business Meetings as described on the Standard Operating Protocol for the Business. They will be open to assuming other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

They will be expected to attend an Induction Training at the commencement of their role with Atrom Mindcare. The offer will be subject to pre-employment reference checks and DBS clearance. Annual appraisals can be organised to support the Psychologist’s professional development.

We anticipate a lower workload initially but would expect a steady increase in this as the service develops. The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate flexibility and creativity to support the Management Team of Atrom Mindcare in marketing and developing the service when it is not clinically busy.

Qualifications

  • A Psychology Degree
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
  • Recognition by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Experience working as a Clinical Psychologist and evidence of having delivered a range of Psychological Therapies successfully for a range of mental health conditions.
  • Certification as a TMS Technician and experience in a similar role are desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to register with a range of leading Insurance Companies which Atrom Mindcare is recognised with currently and develops recognition within the future.
  • Excellent and empathic communication skills with the ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
  • Demonstration of knowledge of basic healthcare ethics, ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and treat all clients and colleagues with dignity and respect.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate medical equipment and establish calibrations desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Enthusiastic attitude and a passion to help people in need.
  • Flexibility in being able to juggle schedules if service gets busy and availability to work additional hours if/when required, with remuneration.
