RSR Public Safety are currently recruiting for an Assistant Director for Medical Workforce, based in Peterborough.

Job Summary:

The post holder is a key member of the Workforce and OD Directorate Senior Management Team, and will manage and lead the Medical Workforce teams and service across the Trust to deliver a professional and responsible medical workforce service.

Location: Peterborough

Contract: 3 months

Salary: £34.90 PAYE / £43.87 UMB P/H

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Provide flexible and proactive support to the Deputy Director of Workforce & OD, Medical Director, leads and managers in all matters pertaining to the management of the medical workforce.
  • Provide leadership and management to the medical staffing and medical and dental education teams, ensure key objectives are achieved, the team are supported and developed effectively and in line with Trust Values.
  • Produce timely relevant reports, information and statistics and contribute to the development of appropriate Key Performance Indicators relating to medical workforce.
  • Develop and design relevant training and development for managers, clinical leaders and Workforce and Organisational Development colleagues in dealing with employee relations matters relating to medical staff.

Person Specification

  • Post graduate degree level qualification or equivalent
  • MCIP Qualified or equivalent
  • Significant experience of managing and creating employee relations interventions that evidence a demonstrable impact
  • Significant experience of developing and reviewing medical workforce policies in line with NHS and other guidance and legislation
  • Substantial experience of leading and managing workforce teams including all aspects of medical workforce activity
  • Experience of providing HR business partnering support and managing highly complex employee relations cases
  • Experienced in developing and implementing medical workforce strategies that support the delivery of workforce plans and objectives
