Our client, a market leading brand are seeking an exceptional Head of Compliance to lead and play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory adherence and maintaining the highest standards of compliance. Reporting to the CRO, you will play an integral role in ensuring the company meets its regulatory obligations whilst working with key stakeholders to help enable the firm to meet its commercial ambitions.
The Head of Compliance position is a key leadership role within the organisation and the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing compliance strategies, managing regulatory relationships, and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the implementation of compliance policies and procedures
- Lead and manage the compliance team
- Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits
- Provide expert advice on regulatory matters to senior management
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage relationships with key stakeholders
Required knowledge and experience:
- Extensive experience in a senior compliance role within an FCA environment (Consumer Lending would be advantageous)
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and legislation
- Experience in an SMF16 role would be beneficial but not essential
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven track record in implementing effective compliance programmes
