Reporting to the Sales Director, working from a home base, the role will require sales management of the South of England.

The role includes the sale of MSS’s complete portfolio of high pressure nitrogen equipment including Nitrogen Generation systems, Gas Mixers, Gas filtration and gas monitoring systems. There will also be benefits in finding sales prospects for our laser & deburring sales team.

Typical sales values £5k to £450k.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Existing customer account and relationship management.
  • Sales growth & business development with new customers.
  • Organising & managing customer machine demonstrations at MSS premises.
  • Occasional attendance at industry related exhibitions.
  • Providing detailed, clear technical guidance & justifications to potential customers.
  • Preparing sales documentation including quotations, sales orders and order acknowledgments.
  • Final negotiation and closing of sales.
  • Achieving sales targets.
  • Continual & accurate sales forecasting with established CRM system.
  • Continual update of MSS CRM contacts.
  • Support for PR, regular direct marketing and social media work.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record selling capital equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Personable with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Able to work flexible hours with some nights staying away from home if required.
  • Self-disciplined with an ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Location suitable to cover the South of the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in the laser cutting, sheet metal working and or compressed gas industries.
  • 5 years capital sales experience.
  • Strong IT literacy and ability especially with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of sales use of social media such as Linkedin.
  • Engineering qualification HND/equivalent or higher is advantageous.
