Overview of the role

The Event Executive will be responsible for helping to manage a portfolio of events under the magazine brands within the Progressive Media Investments Group. We run more than 60 events throughout the year and cover multiple industries such as Tech, Finance, Current Affairs, Healthcare, Wealth Management and Politics. The types of events include webinars, roundtables, conferences, awards, networking and bespoke events.

The Event Executive will be responsible for delivering all aspects of their own events, end to end project management and supporting the rest of the operations team across the schedule on-site.

Key accountabilities

  • Ownership of allocated events from start to finish
  • On-site event management across events schedule
  • Researching and collating information related to venues
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to sponsors, clients and delegates
  • Accurate budget management and reporting of figures on a weekly basis to Senior Event Manager
  • Research and negotiate with suppliers to ensure costs are on target
  • Provide regular updates, escalate any areas of concern and report on project progression to the Senior Event Manager
  • Manage multiple projects and tight deadlines simultaneously
  • Collaborate with sales teams on the creation of sponsorship packs
  • Directing allocated projects and cooperating with the marketing and production teams

Skills and Experience

  • Event professional with a minimum of 12 months' experience
  • Can work independently and take initiative
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks
  • Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients alike
  • Forward-thinking, creative and passionate about events
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
