Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Chief Commercial Officer. The Chief Commercial Officer will be responsible for overseeing business planning, sales, strategic planning, budgeting, and account management. They will also play a key role in driving the company's growth and expanding its market presence. While the role is primarily located in Toft, Cambridge, there is flexibility for some remote work.


Profile and qualifications

  • C-level executive or senior professional with extensive experience in commercial roles in water analytics, water technology, industrial sensors or analytical instruments sector companies
  • Demonstrated track record in growing a small start-up with product revenues from several thousands to several millions annually through distribution, direct sales and licensing
  • Experience in low capital cost, repeat sales
  • 7+ years of commercialization experience towards global OEMs, water utilities, environmental research institutes
  • Extensive network among ANB Sensors’ customer base
  • Experience of the startup lifecycle – from early commercialisation to acquisition - is an advantage


Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenue based on customer needs across all technologies
  • Further implement the global commercial strategy including positioning, sales channels, marketing channels, revenue model, pricing etc
  • Directly or indirectly acquire new customers and manage all client relationships across all sectors
  • Lead and further build out commercial team
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics
  • Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring
  • Where needed, conduct market research and analysis (expansion, business development etc.)
  • Provide feedback to product development team
