Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be working with a major wholesaler based in Sheffield in the search for an experienced Logistics Analyst. My client is a global leading supplier, operating in more than 27 countries with an annual turnover in excess of £60 million.

My client is looking for a highly analytical individual who has a keen eye for detail and strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.


This role will require the ability to review and report on the cost of 3rd party logistics, monitor costs and utilisation to ensure the business sees value and identify any increases.


Key duties and responsibilities will include:


  • Track and report inventory and freight expenses.
  • Manage European inventory with accurate count, value, and location.
  • Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) and vendor compliance, including stock accuracy, delivery performance metrics, and returns.
  • Review daily and weekly stock transactions and inventory reconciliation to ensure systems match and corresponding transactions, such as invoices and goods receipts, are recorded.
  • Analyze monthly invoices and 3PL reports, aligning sales percentages by channel and identifying key cost areas for review.
  • Monitor stock levels to optimize item distribution, location suitability, and sell-through rates, identifying dead or fast-moving stock for review and replenishment, including backorders and fulfillment rates.
  • Plan and implement optimization projects based on data, focusing on cost savings, logistic routes, and inventory stocking.
  • Ensure availability of accurate data and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and identify causes of stock losses.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to support inbound inventory planning and outbound redistribution.


Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:


  • Previous experience in using ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to details.
