ABOUT THIS ROLE

As the Event Sales Manager the postholder is responsible for:

  • Responding to incoming enquiries, generating organic sales traffic and following up on leads to confirm bookings for Fareham Live, Chiswick Cinema, Wycombe Swan and Orchard Theatre
  • Strengthening and expanding the customer base locally & nationally for the Trafalgar Events & Hospitality business
  • Becoming a champion of the Trafalgar Events & Hospitality online sales platforms, reporting on key metrics
  • Prospecting and qualifying new business, following the Trafalgar Events & Hospitality sales process
  • In conjunction with the Group Event Sales Manager, following the TE sales strategy to grow the Trafalgar Events & Hospitality business
  • Providing ongoing support to existing clients while ensuring their satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships
  • Negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to secure deals while maintaining profitability for the company
  • Delivering compelling product and service presentations to showcase their value and address client questions head-on

ABOUT YOU

A professional with significant experience in the events, theatre, music or live-entertainment space, youll be a self-motivated, engaging and dynamic leader.

Commercially savvy, enthusiastic and capable of influencing others (including senior members of the TE team and third-party producer clients) youll be energetic, proactive, results-focussed and creative in your approach.

Youll be resilient, able to communicate clearly and excellent at forming working relationships with others.

JOB ROLE

To drive revenue growth and client satisfaction by effectively selling corporate hospitality packages. This role involves proactive lead generation, relationship building, event coordination support, market research, and sales administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets, ensuring exceptional client service, and contributing to the overall success of the Trafalgar Events & Hospitality sales team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, negotiation and closing skills with all active sales leads for Fareham Live, Chiswick Cinema, Wycombe Swan and Orchard Theatre
  • Essential awareness of diary management, identifying demand periods, gaps and need periods
  • Provide timely, effective sales reports in agreed formats, accurately forecast sales trajectory and provide quick, effective information which supports budgetary and financial processes
  • In conjunction with the Group Event Sales Manager and other team members, develop accurate and impactful physical and digital sales content, collateral and assets which support the growth of Trafalgar Events & Hospitality
  • A proven track-record in delivering sales, business and service targets
  • Highly professional interpersonal skills and proven success in cultivating a collaborative and inclusive approach to business development
  • At all times, act as an ambassador for the venues and TE
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in marketing, product development, and customer service to align efforts, leverage resources, and maximize sales opportunities
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities for improvement within the Trafalgar Events & Hospitality sales department
