About Us:

Angus Steakhouse, an iconic restaurant group since the 1960s, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager for our Bond Street location.

This intimate restaurant, with around 45 covers, has a lovely outdoor terrace area and is a popular choice for Oxford Street shoppers to stop by for a bite and a break

As Assistant Manager you will play a key role in managing the small, but passionate team, and keeping our high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Help oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth and efficient operations across all three floors of the restaurant, maintaining an organized and productive environment.
  • Customer Experience: Uphold the Angus Steakhouse reputation for excellence by ensuring every guest has a memorable dining experience. Address and resolve any customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, optimize costs, and maximize profitability. Monitor and analyze financial performance, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging staff engagement and retention.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotions, events, and marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or Assistant General Manager in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a large team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience.
  • Solid financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
