This multi award-winning independently owned vegetarian restaurant is looking for a sous chef. This well-established restaurant is part of the vanguard of vegetarian and vegan dining in the UK and has a reputation for serving a high-quality unique product, offering great experience in vegetarian and vegan cuisine, as well as expert training in dietary restrictive cooking.
They are looking for an energetic and passionate Sous Chef to join our team. The Sous Chef will be involved in every step of the food preparation process, from planning to cooking to plating, as well as assisting with daily food orders. As Sous Chef you will work in a t top of the range kitchen team to deliver consistently excellent standards. If you enjoy being part of a strong independent company with a passion for amazing cuisine then this will be the right opportunity for you.
As Sous Chef your responsibilities will include :
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
- Preparing and cook fresh local food for restaurant and functions
- Ordering and maintaining stock levels
- Managing and training many chef de parties working with you
The Sous Chef Requirements :
- Already working as Sous Chef in a fresh food environment with minimum 12 months experience
- NVQ2 or College Qualified
- Enthusiastic with positive attitude and keen to learn.
- Ideal role for someone looking to learn in a busy environment from talented head chef
- 40hrs+ hours weekly
The Ideal Sous chef should be:
- Passionate about food and continually pushing standards
- A team player with an outgoing and self starter attitude
- Enthusiastic about exceeding expectations through delicious food, working alongside the front of house team to deliver great customer service.
- A keen eye for detail to deliver excellent standards in every dish served.
