Software Quality Assurance Tester

Key duties and responsibilities:

Testing Execution:

  • Execute test cases, scenarios and scripts to validate software functionality, performance and security.
  • Identify and report defects, issues and anomalies in a clear and concise manner using bug tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce and diagnose reported issues.

Test Planning and Design:

  • Participate in test planning sessions to understand project requirements and define test strategies.
  • Contribute to the creation of test plans, test cases and test scrips based on functional and technical specifications.

Documentation, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Create detailed and comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test results and defect reports
  • Participate in team meetings, providing insights and suggestions to improve software quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance the overall testing process and the quality of the software.

Skills and desirable experiences:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
  • At least 1 years’ experience as a QA tester or similar role.
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing concepts.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C#, .NET, Java) is a plus.
  • Strong passion for technology and a desire to pursue a career in software testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
  • Excellent communication skills
