Our office is in Cranfield. Prospective candidates should consider their commuting distance and ensure it is practical and reliable.
Main Responsibilities:
Testing Tasks:
- Conduct tests to verify software functionality, performance, and security.
- Report any identified issues clearly using bug tracking tools.
- Work closely with developers to investigate reported problems.
Test Planning and Design:
- Be part of test planning sessions to align with project requirements.
- Contribute to the creation of test plans and cases based on specifications.
Documentation, Cooperation & Enhancements:
- Produce detailed test documentation including test cases and results.
- Share insights and suggestions in team meetings to enhance software quality.
- Stay updated on testing methodologies and industry best practices.
- Provide ideas to improve the overall testing process and software quality.
Skills and desired background:
- Hold a degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a QA testing or similar role.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and testing concepts.
- Familiarity with programming languages (C#, .NET, Java) is advantageous.
- Passion for technology and interest in a software testing career.
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks and regression testing is beneficial.
- Proficiency in documenting and resolving errors.
- Effective communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills.
