Software Quality Assurance Tester

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated quality assurance(QA) / software tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software applications through thorough testing and meticulous documentation. Our office is located in Cranfield. Candidates should carefully evaluate their commute and ensure they reside within a reasonable and reliable distance.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Testing Execution:
- Execute test cases, scenarios and scripts to validate software functionality, performance and security.
- Identify and report defects, issues and anomalies in a clear and concise manner using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and diagnose reported issues.
Test Planning and Design:
- Participate in test planning sessions to understand project requirements and define test strategies.
- Contribute to the creation of test plans, test cases and test scrips based on functional and technical specifications.
Documentation, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Create detailed and comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test results and defect reports
- Participate in team meetings, providing insights and suggestions to improve software quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing methodologies and tools.
- Contribute ideas to enhance the overall testing process and the quality of the software.
Skills and desirable experiences:
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
- At least 1 years’ experience as a QA tester or similar role.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing concepts.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C#, .NET, Java) is a plus.
- Strong passion for technology and a desire to pursue a career in software testing.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
