Job Types: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities and duties:

  • Project driven role based on need hotels or new hotels coming on board
  • Focus on key agents and corporate clients.
  • Ensure the growth of accounts by various activities including presentations, hotel tours, and familiarisation trips.
  • Responsible for lead generation and prospecting new business to grow market share whilst also looking at opportunities to increase market share from existing accounts
  • Monitor, analysing and reporting on performance of key accounts.
  • Contribute to weekly/monthly reporting on key activities.
  • Maximise potential sales opportunities for transient, group and event business and other ancillary activities.
  • Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market.
  • Negotiate contracts and complete corporate RFPs.
  • Implement and follow the sales strategies, using the data available in order to achieve maximum rate, and occupancy thus achieving budget.
  • Record and maintain all client communications in our database (Optimiser).
  • Prepare a monthly summary for each hotel client with highlights of activities and results.
  • Arrange events for corporate contacts and travel partners.
  • Attend appropriate trade shows and hotel events. If Group Sales Manager are busy.
  • Prospecting, quoting, negotiating and contracting for groups and events enquiries
  • Plan and organise appropriate familiarisation trips and client show rounds for targeted corporate and conference clients.
  • Exploring new areas of business in terms of market development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experiencein sales or business development in the hotel industry
  • Strong understanding of the hotel industry and its trends
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with clients and partners
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
