MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a Growing Toy Company, on the search for Senior National Account Manager. This is a permanent role based in North of England.

As the Senior National Account Manager, you willplay a crucial role in nurturing and growing our business relationships within the grocery retail sector. You will be tasked with creating and implementing strategic plans to meet sales goals, enhance brand visibility, and promote our products nationwide. Your success in this role will depend on your ability to manage key accounts effectively, work collaboratively across departments, and stay informed about market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with key national accounts, focusing on grocers and major UK retailers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to grocers and key retailers to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth within the grocery and retail sectors.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and promotions with major retail and grocery partners.
  • Work closely with the marketing, product development, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on account strategies and execution.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management.
  • Develop and manage account budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities and campaigns in collaboration with marketing teams to drive product visibility and sales.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong Account management experience.
  • 5+ years toy/gifting experience.
  • Experience within licensing and working within grocers.
  • Strong Strategic mindset.
  • Experience of developing accounts and winning new business.
  • Ability to manage a multitude of different priorities (internal & external and work to timescales, manage projects and lead people)
