Commercial Manager - Waste Paper Industry

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Commercial Manager to join our team in the waste paper industry. As the Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, managing key customer accounts, and maximizing profitability in the waste paper market. This position requires a strong business acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the waste paper industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to foster revenue growth and expand market share in the waste paper industry.
  • Identify and pursue potential customers, markets, and business opportunities to grow and diversify our customer base.
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Skillfully negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with customers, balancing profitability with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the operations and logistics teams, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of waste paper products.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Analyze sales data and market intelligence to develop and adjust pricing strategies and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Prepare comprehensive sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management.
  • Keep abreast of environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives relevant to the waste paper industry.

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of relevant sales or commercial management experience within the waste paper or recycling industry.
  • Strong knowledge of waste paper grades, market trends, and pricing dynamics.
  • Proven track record of successful sales achievements and effective management of key customer accounts.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and sales forecasting.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives pertaining to the waste paper industry.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings and industry events.
