TasksYou’ll be a senior member of our Heat Pump Installation team and will be responsible for overseeing the sizing, installation and commissioning of air source heat pumps in the London area. You’ll lead a team of trainees and tenured installers and empower them to use their initiative on the job to do what’s best for the customer.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of trainee and tenured installers and be responsible for their work
- Screen home surveys for suitability and prepare heat loss calculations ahead of installs
- Oversee installations and provide input and direction as required
- Collaborate with electricians to commission and sign off on installs
- Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service
You’ll be an experienced heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find. You’ll also have domestic hot & cold water system knowledge
- You have prior experience installing heat pumps
- You’ll know the requirements to size, select, install, commission and handover, and maintain air source heat pump systems
- You’ll have experience of reviewing and challenging technical specifications & mechanical drawings
- It would be great if you had knowledge of and a basic competency in electrical levels and F-gas
- Valid driver's license with 6 points or less
Qualifications:
We will provide all necessary Air Source Heat Pump training at our own in-house academies throughout the UK but for this role, you need
- a minimum NVQ level 2 (or equivalent experience) within the Plumbing and Heating pathway
- Gas safe certification
- WRAS Water Supply Regs
- UHW10/HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems
It would be great if you had some of the below too
- BPEC L3 or equivalent in heat pump installation
- £47K+ annual salary
