Senior Category Manager

Hybrid (London 2 days per week)

Due to a period of exciting growth, our Client are currently looking to bring a new Senior Category Manager into their organisation.


Reporting to the Head of Procurement and working in a collaborative team of 8 you will help support the development and execution of Procurement Strategy for Business Operations which covers a range of goods and services.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Developing and executing procurement strategies that align with established processes and company guidelines.
  • Negotiate contracts with external parties, provide guidance to stakeholders, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Manage end to end procurement tender process.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to advise on procurement protocols, processes, and governance, and establish and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Preparing or assisting in the preparation of recommendations for company meetings, supporting cross-organizational initiatives, and providing support for team development and knowledge growth.
  • Working closely with the Head of Procurement, contract managers, and stakeholders to develop procurement strategies and drive continuous improvement.


Suitable candidates will have a background working in the Public Sector and knowledge of PCR or UCR will be important.


Ideally you will be CIPS qualified (or working towards) and you will thrive in a busy fast paced environment with competing priorities.
