About the Role:

Cedar Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager to join our client's team in the Health category. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for supporting the management and renewal of c15 Frameworks within the Health category, which covers a spend of c£600m annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Category for Health in the management and renewal of c15 Frameworks
  • Work with well-known suppliers and national bodies to obtain best possible conditions and deliver procurement solutions that exceed customer and stakeholder expectations
  • Deploy resources effectively and provide market and technical expertise in support of one or more Strategic Sourcing business process/services
  • Manage a team of procurement professionals and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and internal customers

Requirements:

  • MCIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS or equivalent qualification
  • Strong background working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector
  • Experience working within a similar role in the Public Sector within Health (i.e. Equipment, Product & Services etc.)
  • Experience managing a team and using Frameworks to define requirements with key stakeholders
  • Understanding of the new Procurement Act
