We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and take complete ownership of the delivery process, ensuring that every project meets programme, cost, and quality expectations.


You will support our projects across the Warwickshire, the M42 corridor and into Northamptonshire.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead projects from tender stage through to completion, ensuring they are delivered

on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Take full accountability for project outcomes, maintaining and enhancing Stepnell's

reputation.

  • Oversee project launch and ensure readiness for on-site activities.
  • Monitor progress against programme targets and address delays with appropriate contractual measures.
  • Conduct regular site visits and manage the delivery team to uphold Stepnell's high standards.
  • Drive design development during the construction phase in partnership with the Design Manager.
  • Review and optimise design aspects, focusing on buildability, maintenance, and commercial return.
  • Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to manage procurement and financial risks.
  • Provide monthly performance reports to senior management, ensuring accurate cash flow and cost-value reconciliation.
  • Develop and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Plans.
  • Monitor quality throughout the build process, addressing non-conformance and ensuring defect-free handovers.
  • Lead, motivate, and evaluate project teams, including Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and operatives.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and ensure team alignment with project goals.


The ideal candidate:


  • Proven experience as a Project Manager ideally delivering education schemes
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, risks, and opportunities.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, and quality standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills to manage client relationships and stakeholder expectations.
