Signature Career Management has partnered with a premium snacking brand who are looking for a UK Sales Manager. The business has been driving forward its direct-to-store business model in Ireland and is exporting on a small scale to the UK, France and Germany. The UK is the number one strategic priority market for the business and the Company is seeking to hire a UK Sales Manager to drive UK expansion and demand for the brand.


So, what will the UK Sales Manager role look like?


Job Purpose


We are looking for a professional, tenacious, self-motivated UK Sales Manager who is passionate about the product and proposition to drive commercial growth in the UK market. We are a business that takes pride in our work and sees huge potential to get our premium hand-held snacking brand into many channels of the UK market.


Key Responsibilities

  • and execute the UK go-to-market sales strategy into the key channels of interest (Convenience, Cash & Carry, Multiple Retail, Vending, Pubs, Travel Retail, Food-to-Go, etc.).
  • the brand within the UK market and nurture customers from awareness to purchase and fulfilment (account management), developing strong customer relationships along the way.
  • the new business development into UK customers.
  • responsibility for managing P+L, margin, and all commercial and financial deliverables that you would expect from a commercial role in FMCG.
  • & External stakeholder management on the commercial and supply chain aspect of the business.
  • able to spot commercial trends and use commercial information across your commercial activity.
  • and deliver full sales reporting.
  • responsibilities assigned as needed.


Key Skills

To be successful in this role you’ll need:


  • track record of developing business and/or driving sales for a new product into the market.
  • tenacious attitude and desire to succeed and drive commercial impact to the business, taking pride in results and HOW you get them.
  • working across a number of channels, understanding the differences and needs of each, so as to be able to adapt your pitch and style depending on the customer/buyer.
  • working on premium/premium-mainstream products that are sold on their features and benefits, not just their brand name or price.
  • determined, self-starter, who can go out and identify opportunities and build and deliver existing and new accounts.
  • written and verbal communications skills.
  • to work in an SME environment, having autonomy and joining the dots. Having the ability to wear multiple hats is important.
  • attention to detail and a commitment to over-delivering on results.
  • life in a fast-moving start-up environment and thrives on autonomy.
  • team player, you do what you say you will.
