Position Description: We are looking for a Business Analyst to maintain a global, enterprise-wide viewpoint, supporting the mission and vision of the organization while acting in the best interest of both the IT department and business department. The role will encompass the major components of the full project life cycle – requirements review, analysis, design review, set-up, testing and support. He or she will serve to ensure that the delivered solution meets the needs of end users. This position requires a combination of in-depth functional knowledge and general technical proficiency in business applications. The analyst works closely with business application users. The analyst would provide functional direction and guidance for application solutions working with all business analysts. We are in search of a Business Systems Analyst to provide business partners with daily support of Oracle modules and 3rd party applications including Oracle EBS supply chain modules such as Order Management, Planning, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.


General Duties:

Participates in the development of conceptual and functional specifications for application development for all customer facing, applications.

Works with technical team to design, test and implement overall system functionality.

Assists business users in testing, application training and documentation.

Leads IT functional unit testing, integration testing.

Leads troubleshooting, problem diagnosis and resolution efforts. Performs root-cause analysis.

Strives for continuous improvement of business processes and system functionality.

Participates in development of project plans as required.

Provides continuous production support and works on issues and enhancements.

Provides mentoring to other team members and end users as required.

Assumes a project lead role as required and works with the Strategic Consulting team to take large projects into an operational or production support mode. Participate in post-implementation review to understand formal business feedback and support continuous improvement.

Own and manage functional changes and non-strategic enhancement requests within the financial modules.


Oracle Financials Duties:

Support activities on eBusiness Tax to support VAT and other EU tax laws

Troubleshoot issues and answer questions regarding TCA components (customers, suppliers, exemptions)

Develop and manage relationships within the Order Management, Finance and Accounting functional areas.

Leverage skills within the Oracle financial functions to extend the business and support strategic projects. Assist with the end to end implementation.

Leverage experience to provide insight into the ongoing development of the financial system architecture.

Support implementation and roll-out initiatives within the Financial suite of modules (Tax, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Budgets, iExpense, Sub ledger Accounting, and Financial Reporting).
