Community Sports & Activity Manager

£35,000+car+excellent benefits

Marlow, Buckinghamshire + some travel to Telford, Shropshire

We are looking for a Community Sports and Activity Manager to develop and deliver a diverse and innovative range of sports and physical activity programmes using a range of the sports, leisure and community facilities in and around two multi-faceted sports centres in Buckinghamshire and Shropshire respectively. The objective is to give all the residents regardless of their background, the opportunity to improve their health and wellbeing by taking part in appropriate sports and activities.

This hugely rewarding role comes with a competitive salary of up to £35,000, company car and all travel expenses away from your home centre. Other benefits include a 6% matched pension, Life Assurance, free gym/swim membership, and discounts on retail, entertainment, eating out and more. We would love you to apply if you have:

  • Experience in developing and delivering sports and physical activity programmes within a community setting possibly as a Sports Development Manager or Active Communities Manager.
  • Developed strategic business plans with KPI measures of success.
  • Built strategic partnerships with public health, governing bodies and community groups.
  • Some knowledge of external funding opportunities.
  • A Full clean driving licence and the flexibility to travel for meetings, conferences and to other venues
