HRLife is looking to speak to Employee Relations Specialists looking for their next challenge

Based in Milton Keynes and working as part of a wider, close-knit, supportive HR team, you will be an escalation point and the go-to specialist for higher risk and more complex ER cases. You’ll be utilising your knowledge of employment legislation, policy and best practice to guide and advise and ensure risk is mitigated.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing advice to managers for more complex ER cases which will include a range of issues through to tribunal
  • Identifying, assessing, managing, resolving and mitigating risk.
  • Case management; supporting them through early conciliation and employment tribunal.
  • Delivering ER workshops to managers to help improve their ER knowledge and enhance their capability.
  • Ensuring policies and procedures support best ER practice.


Previous experience of working in a multi-site or blue-collar environment is a must, as is a track record of dealing with high volume, complex ER cases. You’ll be comfortable with:

  • Demonstrating an in depth knowledge of employment law, tribunal process and ACAS with HR best practice.
  • Being highly tenacious and resilient, flexible to change in demands.
  • Confident in taking ownership of issues to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Not shying away from having difficult conversations.
  • Possessing excellent communication skills, able to adapt and build rapport/provide advice to all levels.
  • An active listener who is naturally inquisitive and able to coach people to reach a resolution.

Hybrid working – 3 days in the Milton Keynes office, 2 at home
