The Cryptography Research Center (CRC) brings together theoretical and applied cryptographers to contribute to the proliferation of this ever-evolving ecosystem. Our world-class cryptography experts collaborate with key industry players to offer advanced solutions to address the threats faced by today’s digital societies.


Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Business Development to spearhead our go-to-market strategies, drive commercial growth, and establish our company as a leader in the rapidly evolving field of secure systems and post-quantum cryptography.


Responsibilities:


Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for our cryptography and secure systems solutions, ensuring successful product launches, market penetration, and revenue growth.


Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, competitive landscapes, and potential growth opportunities. Leverage this insight to shape our product roadmap and commercial strategies.


Product Marketing: Collaborate with our technical teams to translate complex cryptographic and security concepts into compelling value propositions, messaging, and marketing materials that resonate with target audiences.


Business Development: Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and distribution channels to expand our market reach and drive revenue growth. Negotiate and secure favorable contracts and commercial terms.


Pricing and Licensing Strategy: Develop and implement effective pricing and licensing models that align with our business objectives, market conditions, and customer needs.


Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, understanding their unique requirements, and ensuring our solutions consistently deliver exceptional value.


Thought Leadership: Represent our company at industry events, conferences, and forums, establishing our brand as a trusted authority in the field of cryptography and secure systems.


Qualifications:


  • Proven track record of success in business development, go-to-market strategy, and product marketing roles, preferably within the cybersecurity, cryptography, or enterprise software industries.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend analysis.Proven negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of securing favorable commercial terms and partnerships.
  • Familiarity with pricing and licensing models for enterprise software and security solutions is preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for driving innovation and disrupting established markets.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, engineering, computer science); an advanced degree (Ph.D.) is a strong plus.
