What is the opportunity?

An exciting opportunity to join our growing RBC BlueBay UK & Ireland FIG Sales Team. You will be responsible for driving the agreed sales/service plan for specified UK and Irish Financial Institutions and supporting the broader channel strategy for multi-region and Global Financial Institution clients and prospects.

What will you do?

  • Grow AUM and revenue across the firm's UK & Irish FIG investor base.
  • Drive the sales/service plan for a select number of UK and national specific Financial Institutions, (focused on UK Strategic Partners, National & Networks) in line with the broader channel / Business Development ("BD") strategy and in support of the firm's objectives.
  • Work in collaboration with UK FIG team members to strengthen existing client relationships and onboard new relationships, whilst also bringing initiatives and perspective to deepen our regional exposure, in support of the firm's objectives.
  • Support the execution of agreed strategic priorities to further diversify firm AUM across a FIG client base, in line with the broader channel/ BD strategy and in support of the firm's objectives.
  • Work with other UK FIG team members to develop and implement scalable, cost effective, and best practice FIG sales processes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and promoting a successful business development team performance.
  • Maintain and leveraging the client management system (currently SalesForce) to ensure the effective service of clients and prospects and taking responsibility for the quality of the data input into Salesforce.
  • Support colleagues in monitoring and reporting market and regulatory developments relevant for the channel / BD strategy.
  • Personally reinforce excellence across RBC BlueBay's stated cultural values and standards both internally and as a representative of RBC BlueBay in the market.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Must have significant experience of working within UK Advisory channels, including UK Nationals & Network accounts, for the development and delivery of the UK Strategic Partner distribution strategy
  • Should have existing relationships with the leading head-offices within focus channels
  • Should have knowledge of key risk and ratings agencies, consolidators, and National IFA's
  • Previous experience in driving a first-class client experience
  • Demonstrable ability to build key relationships
  • Demonstrate passion and curiosity for the investments industry along with an understanding of a wide range of asset classes
  • Experience presenting to clients, understanding their needs and incorporating this into the Sales process
  • Structured working, and able to align activity with UKFIG business plan
  • Able to work in a collegiate fashion across the UK team, including Institutional
  • Ability to build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders
