Job Summary: We are seeking an accomplished and strategic professional to join GEDU Global Education as the Head of PR and Communications. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive communication strategies to elevate GEDU's brand and share its impactful educational initiatives with diverse audiences both internal and external.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communication:

  • Develop and execute a strategic PR and communications plan aligned with GEDU's mission and vision.
  • Identify key messages and communication channels to effectively engage current, prospective students, parents, faculty, and the broader community.

Media Relations:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, education reporters, and influencers.
  • Proactively pitch stories and secure media coverage to highlight GEDU's achievements, programs, and thought leadership.

Content Development:

  • Create compelling and relevant content for press releases, articles, blog posts, social media, and other communication platforms.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication materials.

Crisis Management:

  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate potential reputational risks.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for GEDU during critical situations.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and inspire a dynamic PR and communications team of approx. 6 people.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Brand Management:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of GEDU's brand identity.
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines across all communication materials.

Event Management:

  • Support the Events Team to plan and execute successful PR events, including open houses, educational forums, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximize the impact of GEDU's events.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior PR or communications role within the education sector.
  • Strong media relations skills and a network of contacts in the education and media industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Crisis management experience and the ability to navigate sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to GEDU's mission.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media strategies.
