About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead and execute Public Relations programs for Ferrero UK&I as Senior Public Relations Manager : Media & Digital, with a strong focus on media, digital, brand, and sustainability.  The role involves planning and implementing initiatives to enhance Ferrero's reputation and public awareness, particularly highlighting our sustainability and responsibility credentials.

You will develop and manage PR campaigns, create strategic communications, and support brand trust across multiple sweet-packaged food categories.  This is an exciting opportunity to shape Ferrero's brand narrative both internally and externally, contributing to our business development and sustainability goals.

Main Responsibilities:

You will lead the development and execution of communication campaigns aimed at enhancing Ferrero’s brand reputation, particularly focusing on sustainability and responsibility.  This includes formulating compelling narratives around key topics like packaging, climate, and ingredient sourcing, ensuring that our brands’ commitments are clearly communicated to external audiences.  Your role also involves selecting appropriate channels and mechanisms, including PESO models and key opinion leaders, to effectively tell our story and drive growth.

As a key player in executing brand PR and trust strategies, you will engage with the media to meet the communication objectives of the UK & Irish markets.  This includes managing the consumer press office, handling media relations, and supporting the Director of Communications and leadership with media training and briefings.  You will also oversee social media accounts, manage corporate website content, and ensure that brand trust projects are ready to be managed by external agencies.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to integrate external communications into key initiatives, providing expert advice on reputation management and media strategies.  This includes preparing briefings, supporting business plans, and managing risk.  In crisis situations, you will assist the Head of Public Relations, providing support and advice to protect the company’s image and respond to potential critics.  Your role also involves monitoring sustainability developments, updating Q&As, and leveraging insights to enhance campaign performance.

You will be a company expert on communication positions and serve as an external spokesperson.  Additionally, you will offer PR advice to company executives and support the Head of PR in aligning external communication strategies across brand and trade, both reactively and proactively.  Your insights and expertise will ensure that Ferrero's communication activities are relevant and impactful in the UK and Ireland markets.

Who we are looking for:

The role demands a self-starter who is proactive, solution-driven, and able to work under pressure, prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines.  Excellent written and verbal communication, digital savvy, media handling skills, and experience in budget management are essential.  An active interest in sustainability is also required.

Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment is advantageous, as is a background in sustainability.  These additional skills will help you excel in the role, contributing to Ferrero’s communication and sustainability objectives.

How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero:
