Risk and Compliance Manager

Reading

Hybrid working

You'll be instrumental in ensuring adherence to competition law and driving compliance initiatives. Reporting to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Counsel, you'll support special projects within the Shared Rural Network and collaborate closely with shareholder compliance teams to uphold the highest standards of information sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

Information Sharing/Competition:

  • Ensure compliance with competition law and manage information sharing protocols.
  • Conduct annual reviews of competition guidelines with shareholder compliance teams.
  • Implement effective controls and provide training on compliance requirements.
  • Investigate and report on Beacon breaches, and support the business intelligence team.

Governance:

  • Aid in the development and enhancement of corporate governance frameworks.
  • Support the creation of new Committees/Boards Terms of Reference and manage legal CCN processes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with compliance specialists, internal teams, and legal firms.
  • Promote alignment and knowledge sharing within compliance teams.

Reporting:

  • Deliver comprehensive reports to management, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Produce monthly compliance reports on various metrics including info sharing breaches and conflicts of interest.

Compliance:

  • Actively contribute to regulatory compliance, health and safety, environmental, and information security arrangements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, manage policy updates, and stay informed on relevant laws.
  • Lead compliance training and streamline compliance services.

Risk Management:

  • Manage compliance against the risk management framework and deliver risk management training.
  • Support the development of local risk registers and provide data analysis.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in Compliance Management within a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial acumen to drive cost savings and team efficiencies.
  • Ability to interpret contracts and contractual clauses.
  • Experience in telecommunications cell site deployment or related project management. (Desired)
