Project description

Program Manager in the UK for an automotive software development business, especially in the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and broader automotive software development field, plays a critical role in bridging the gap between the product team and stakeholders, ensuring that the product vision is correctly translated into development tasks. This role demands a unique blend of skills and responsibilities, emphasizing excellent communication, a structured approach, and a strong technical background.


Luxoft is expected to deliver quality and expert support in the above areas, drive topics independently, and liaise with other OEM stakeholders to remove blockers. The ideal candidate needs endless curiosity and can pair a global mindset with locally relevant execution. You should be a gritty problem solver with a never-give-up attitude and a self-starter who can think of out-of-the-box solutions. The successful candidate will be a team player and display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to the Client's changing needs. The candidate must be ready to work onsite in the UK OEM office (Gaydon) and travel regularly to India.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Client Communication and Relationship Building:

Takes proactive in communicating with current and potential clients, understanding their needs, challenges, and strategic objectives.

Builds and maintains strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor in automotive software development, specifically focusing on ADAS technologies.

Utilizes exceptional communication skills to negotiate and influence, ensuring alignment between client expectations and product development efforts.

  • Proactive Business development/Upsell:

Integrates client feedback into product development processes more strategically, ensuring that the product evolves in ways that enhance client satisfaction and open up new business opportunities.

Facilitates focus groups, user forums, or one-on-one client interviews to gather in-depth insights that inform product strategy and development priorities.

  • Backlog Management and Prioritization:

Assists in managing the product backlog, ensuring it is appropriately prioritized in alignment with the product strategy and stakeholder needs.

Works closely with the Product Owner to refine and clarify backlog items, ensuring that the development team has a steady stream of clearly defined and understood work.

  • Technical Expertise and Guidance:

Brings a strong technical background in Automotive Low-level Software and automotive software development, understanding the complexities and challenges of the domain.

Provides technical guidance to the development team, helping overcome challenges and ensure the product meets the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements for the automotive industry.

Keeps abreast of the latest trends and technologies in automotive software development, advising on best practices and potential innovations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and addressing customer requests:

Engages with stakeholders to gather feedback on product releases and iterations, ensuring user and customer feedback is incorporated into future development cycles.

Plays a key role in defining user stories and acceptance criteria to meet customer expectations and solve real-world problems.

  • Project Coordination and Agile Practices:

Ensures that agile practices are followed and adapted as necessary to meet project and organizational needs.

Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of development cycles, timely delivery, and adherence to budgets and timelines.

  • Collaboration with Sales and Marketing Teams:

Collaborates closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure the product messaging is coherent and compelling to target markets.

Provides technical expertise and market insights to support the creation of marketing materials, sales pitches, and promotional strategies.

Assists in preparing detailed product demonstrations and presentations for clients, showcasing the product's unique value proposition and technical capabilities.
