My Client, an International bank in the City, seeks a Credit/RM hybrid, to join their Client Coverage and Loan Markets team in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- The primary role of the RM is to work with Team Head to market and bring on board qualifying business opportunities in line with budget, risk appetite, risk return measures, policies, procedures, regulations and strategy.
- The RM will act as the first contact of the bank in building clients’ relationship (Banks, FAs and Sponsors), participating in syndicated loans, underwriting transactions, negotiating terms with counterparties and providing the full range of the bank’s global capabilities to the bank’s clients.
- Assisting Team Head for the marketing, client meeting, preparing pitches, presentations, etc. as required.
- Preparing credit application, including customer credit risk analysis, business risk analysis, financial modelling, financial risk analysis, to present to both UK and HO credit committees.
- On-going reporting & monitoring of clients, including both quarterly & annual reviews, financial covenants review, waiver request processing and overall post loan monitoring.
- The key goal of the Origination & Syndication Team is to ensure that the bank is able to develop client relationships whilst managing credit risk and meeting regulatory requirements. They do this by working closing with Risk, Legal, Compliance and relevant departments for risk analysis, KYC, loan documentation preparation as well as other Front Office departments both in the UK and globally.
- Maintaining a keen interests and awareness of market trends in international business including trends and events in the UK and European corporate banking market.
- Completing other tasks as required by Deputy Head / Head of Corporate Banking.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications :
- Applicants should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or related finance industry.
- Solid credit management experience within Corporate Banking.
- A good understanding of corporate financing activities and products and services;
- Working knowledge of EU Syndicated Loans;
- Good understanding of Credit Risk and Corporate Financial Analysis
- Good ability to understand corporate financing structures and loan documentation.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, organisations and clients, whilst working under pressure, across multiple projects and to tight deadlines.
- Good team player.
- As a Relationship Manager, you are expected to be a highly driven, career-minded individual who has excellent knowledge of financial institutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of attention to detail, including the ability to accurately interpret legal clauses and LMA loan documentation
- Good written and verbal skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel etc. financial modelling skills are a requirement.
