Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Designer with a primary focus on footwear, alongside a secondary role in designing accessories. This role will support the design team in creating innovative, trend-driven, and technically proficient products for both men's and women's collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for footwear design, a keen eye for detail, and experience in accessory and footwear design, contributing to the brand’s overall creative vision.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Footwear Design:
    • Create original, on-trend footwear designs for both men’s and women’s collections across various categories (sneakers, boots, sandals, etc.).
    • Participate in the full design process, from initial concept sketches to final technical specs and production-ready designs.
    • Collaborate closely with the Senior Designer to ensure the creative direction is followed, while injecting fresh ideas and innovation.
  • Accessories Design:
  • design and development of accessories such as bags, belts, and small leather goods that complement the footwear collection.
    • Research and experiment with materials, shapes, and hardware to create unique accessory designs that align with the brand’s identity ensuring everything is aligned with the brand vision and creative directors briefs.   
  • Technical Development & Research:
    • Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for both footwear and accessories, ensuring clear communication with production teams.
    • Stay updated on new materials, production techniques, and fashion trends, incorporating them into designs.
    • Attend fittings, reviews, and production meetings to ensure designs are executed accurately and meet the brand’s quality standards.
  • Trend Research & Inspiration:
    • Conduct ongoing research on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands to inform the design process.
    • constantly stay on top of new trends, current market and the future market needs.
    • Explore new ideas and innovations in footwear and accessory design to keep the collections fresh and competitive.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, merchandising, and marketing to ensure that designs meet both aesthetic and commercial objectives.
    • Maintain clear communication with overseas factories and suppliers, ensuring design specifications are understood and executed properly.
    • Collaborate with the Senior Designer to ensure that deadlines are met and collections are delivered on time.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in footwear design, with some exposure to accessories design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing footwear and accessory designs with a focus on creativity and technical proficiency.
  • Understanding of footwear construction, materials, and production processes.
  • Experience with accessories such as bags, belts, and small leather goods.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Procreate Software.
  • Excellent sketching, technical drawing, and illustration skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends, with a passion for footwear and accessories design.
  • 5 days a week in office 
  • ability to travel internationally for development and research
