We are seeking a highly skilled Design Assistant to join our Footwear and Accessories team at Crew Clothing Head Office. As a key member of our design function, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and developing brand-right and commercial product for our Accessories and Footwear range.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the design team to create a full range of Accessories and Footwear with direction from the Senior Footwear and Accessories Designer and Head of Design.
* Research current and previous sales figures, seasonality, trend, and fabric development to design a commercial balanced range.
* Present range to management at sketch review.
* Ensure highly accurate design packs and liaison with supply base to ensure samples are delivered on time.
* Accountable for the ownership of key areas within Footwear and Accessories.

Key Skills:

* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar brand or comparable retailer, work at a Design Assistant capacity.
* Knowledge of key leathers and shapes.
* Ability to influence and communicate effectively, with excellent people skills.
* Computer literate (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel).
* Understanding of Footwear and Bag construction, pattern cutting, and finishing.
* Excellent eye for detail and quality.
